Spring has sprung and the flora is sprouting. Not to be outdone, the Paradise Symphony Orchestra has sprouts of its own. Our spring concert features the winners of the Young Artist’s Competition which is held every year to honor young, local musicians and/or vocalists. These talented “sprouts” will be playing their audition pieces with the orchestra that evening. In addition Ayako Nakamura will be guest soloist on trumpet. Ms. Nakamura is a trumpet instructor at CSU, Chico, a freelance musician throughout Northern California and plays with several area professional ensembles. The Splendid Sounds of Spring concert takes place at the Paradise Performing Arts Center on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 7 PM.
