Astronomy at the Lake

Experience an unforgettable evening under the stars at Astronomy on the Lake at Paradise Lake—a one-of-a-kind adventure that blends paddling, music, community, and night sky exploration. The evening begins with a guided kayak tour of the lake, giving participants a chance to soak in the calm water and golden-hour views before we eddy out along the shoreline. From there, the vibe shifts into full-on campfire magic. Gather around a gas-lit campfire for an evening of guitar playing, singing camp songs, storytelling, and community connection. S’mores are often on the menu, and participants are encouraged to bring a folding or camping chair, snacks, and a sandwich for dinner/supper to fully settle into the experience. As darkness falls, the night culminates in a laser-guided tour of the stars, where the sky comes alive with constellations, stories, and cosmic wonder. Bring your own kayak or rent one from PRPD to join in the adventure.
