SUMMARY:Paradise Symphony Orchestra Presents "Our New World"
DESCRIPTION:The PSO?s first concert will be ?Our? New World on November 3\, 2019 at 7:00pm in the Paradise Performing Arts Center. It will open a week-long celebration of the progress that has occurred since November 8\, 2018.\n\n \n\nThe concert will begin with Aaron Copland?s brave and fitting ?Fanfare for the Common Man.? In the same way Paradisians love their home\, Alexander Borodin felt about his native and far- reaching Russia. He wrote of the beauty of Southern Russia in his ?Polovetsian Dances?. The sense of devastation and recovery felt throughout the North State was also felt by all Americans during World War II and captured musically by Richard Rodgers in his epic ?Victory at Sea.?\n\n \n\nThe PSO will debut a delightful piece by their colleague Trevor Lloyd composed expressly for this concert: ?Song for A Glorious Day.? The finale will be Anton Dvorak?s ?New World Symphony.? Written in 1893 about the growth and achievements of America as a foundling nation it is apt to the growth and recovery currently being experienced by Paradise and the surrounding communities ?
