SUMMARY:Miniskills Blueprint Reading & Shop Math Applications
DESCRIPTION:MiniSkills Blueprint Reading and Shop Math Applications In this training\, trainees will be introduced to fundamental blueprint reading concepts. Basic projections\, the importance of title blocks\, general and local notes\, dimensioning and specialty drawings will be covered. Concepts including perimeter\, area and volume will be covered along with time-based calculations and rates calculations. A combination of online learning reinforced with hands-on application activities will be used.\n\nModule 1: Projection and Visualization Terms and View Construction\n\nModule 2: Title Blocks and Parts Lists\n\n Segment 1 Drawing sheets\, formats and zoning\n\n Segment 2 Title Block information and identification\n\n Segment 3 Parts lists identification\n\nModule 3: Dimensioning Methods and Units of Measure\n\n Segment 1 Dimensioning Rules\n\n Segment 2 Symbols\, Acronyms and Vocabulary\n\n Segment 3 Dimension Standards\n\nModule 4: Drawing Notes Meaning\n\n Segment 1 Notes Meaning\n\n Segment 2 Specifications and Callouts\n\nModule 5: Electrical Schematics\, Pneumatic Schematics and Plumbing and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID)\n\n Segment 1 Component Symbols Identification\n\n Segment 2 Circuit Diagrams\n\n Segment 3 Measurements and Readings\n\nModule 6: Shop Calculations\n\n Segment 1 Calculate Perimeter\n\n Segment 2 Calculate Area\n\n Segment 3 Calculate Volume\n\nModule 7: Time-based Calculations\n\n Segment 1 Time conversions\n\n Segment 2 Time-based calculations in hours\, minutes and seconds\n\nModule 8: Basic Rates Calculations\n\n Segment 1 Flow Rates Calculations\n\n Segment 2 Speed Rates Calculations\n\n\n\nUpon completion of this course trainees will be able to: Understand how blueprints are used to accurately depict equipment and machines. Understand how dimensions\, notes and title blocks are used to correctly identify a blueprint and apply it. Review practical shop math formulas like perimeter\, area and volume\, time-based calculations and flow rate\, speed/feed rate calculations. Hands-on application with practical activities.\n\n\n\nNOTE: Calculator REQUIRED for math. *Course length may vary based on number of trainees\, online content completion and comprehension.
